ELEMENTARY

Youth Exchange

14.11-23.11.2024.

Căpățânenii, Romania

Our participants have successfully completed the “ELEMENTARY” project, which took place from November 14th to November 23rd, 2024, in Căpățâneni, Romania. They return home equipped with the knowledge and skills to tackle climate change, foster sustainability, and advocate for environmental action in their communities.

Throughout the project, participants embarked on a transformative journey to understand the science behind climate change, its global impacts, and the steps needed to mitigate its effects. They explored topics such as the greenhouse effect, the role of international agreements like the Paris Agreement, and the importance of technological innovation in addressing climate challenges. Through these activities, they gained practical tools to address environmental issues both individually and collectively.

One of the highlights of the project was the creation of short films that captured their reflections on climate action. Participants worked in teams to produce these digital artifacts, combining creative storytelling with scientific insights. This hands-on activity not only deepened their understanding of the subject but also enhanced their communication, collaboration, and digital skills.

The project also placed a strong emphasis on community and collaboration. Participants from diverse backgrounds came together to share ideas and experiences, building a network of like-minded individuals committed to making a difference. Daily reflection sessions and interactive discussions helped them connect their learning to real-world challenges and inspired them to think critically about their role in shaping a sustainable future.

By combining science, creativity, and teamwork, the ELEMENTARY project provided a unique platform for young people to engage with climate issues in an innovative way. Organized by ARYAS NGO and co-funded by the European Union through Erasmus+, this experience empowered participants to take action, share their knowledge, and inspire change in their own communities.
