LET'S GET BACK TO PHYSICAL
Training Course
19.07-29.07.2024.
Progled, Bulgaria
Our participants have successfully completed the training course “Let’s Get Back to Physical,” which took place from July 19th to 29th, 2024, in Progled, Bulgaria. They are now returning home equipped with new skills and a renewed determination to inspire young people to engage more actively in their communities.
During the course, participants concentrated on improving their gamification skills in youth work, learning how to create engaging and interactive tools for educational purposes. They focused on developing high-quality educational materials aimed at preserving young people’s social skills, especially in the context of the challenges posed by forced isolation during periods like the pandemic. By combining creativity with practical approaches, they worked together to design tools that educators can use to capture student attention, encourage teamwork, and maintain a healthy learning environment.
A significant objective of this project was to address the negative impact of prolonged online learning, which has often led to a decline in students’ social engagement and an increase in mental health struggles such as depression. Participants explored ways to use physical activities and interactive learning to re-engage young people, helping them reconnect with their peers and communities. They also discussed strategies to provide emotional support to students who may be struggling and ensure that their social and mental well-being is prioritized in educational settings.
Throughout the course, participants formed strong friendships and professional connections with peers from eight different countries. This network of dedicated individuals is now working toward a shared goal of making a positive difference in their local communities. The collaborative spirit fostered during the project has laid the foundation for future partnerships, with participants eager to apply what they’ve learned and share these insights with their organizations back home.
This project was funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme and organized by MOGA Association. It has provided participants not only with practical tools for youth work but also the motivation to continue supporting the well-being and personal growth of young people in their communities.
